The new unit integrated in The Cliff Bay will be the seventh hotel in Madeira.
It is over a single promontory with a total area of 6000 m2 that the PortoBay Hotels & Resorts group is building its 13th unit, northeast of the Cliff Bay, in Estrada Monumental, in Funchal.
The five-star hotel, scheduled to open in February next year, comprises 23 luxury suites and is located between two early 20th century colonial-style houses with views of the gardens and the sea.
António Trindade, President and CEO of The Cliff Bay Hotel says "the Les Suites at the Cliff Bay project aims to be an innovative, top-of-the-line hotel specifically for guests seeking to relive their experiences over the years at The Cliff Bay Hotel plus some factors of attractiveness closely linked to a concept of home feeling."
The idea of ??feeling at home is materialized by the "large balconies and private gardens, by the new fitness room, the new infinity pool", which is joined by a panoramic restaurant with bar and lounge.
Defined with the slogan "The feeling of infinity", this new hotel is divided into three categories: 21 suites (61 m2 + balcony) with views of the Atlantic Ocean, 9 of them located on the ground floor and with access to a cosy private garden; in the colonial house with two bedrooms and kitchenette there is the Exclusive Master Suite (123 m2 + balcony) as well as the Artistic Suite (49 m2 + balconies) on the top floor.
The leisure offer is complemented by the solarium and the outdoor infinity pool overlooking the ocean and the bay of Funchal. There are also terraces, a gym, pilates room, library, cinema and conference room and games room.
Benoît Sinthon, executive Chef at The Cliff Bay, will be responsible for presenting the gastronomic proposal of the 1900 Restaurant, Lounge & Terrace Bar that will be in one of the colonial houses adjacent to the hotel directly accessible through the street.
Les Suites and The Cliff Bay are connected through an interior corridor that allows guests of this new hotel unit to have access to all the services and facilities of The Cliff Bay, such as direct access to the sea, salt water pool, indoor / outdoor pool, SPA, gardens, bars and restaurants, including the renowned Il Gallo d 'Oro, holder of two Michelin stars.
