The second edition of this tournament was attended by influencer and golf professional Hannah Davies.
Palheiro Golf organized the second edition of the Palheiro Gardens Golf Classic, an event that was first held in October 2021, sponsored by British television presenter Chris Hollins.
The second edition of this charity tournament featured British influencer and golf professional Hannah Davies. The event was played in Stableford Net individual, 18 holes. The men's winner was António Vasconcelos, with 44 points. Anna Stoldt was the winner in the women's category with 40 points.
Palheiro Golf raised several prizes from sponsors and created raffle tickets to sell. The revenue, of 2,030 euros reverted in favor of refugees from Ukraine living in Madeira.
Besides Hannah Davies, this 2nd edition also had the presence of the famous garden specialist and landscape architect Gerald Luckhurst, author of books such as "Gardens of Madeira" and "Sintra, the landscape and its Quintas".
After the tournament Gerald Luckhurst gave a guided tour of the Palheiro Gardens where he highlighted some of the rarest species that can be found there, dating back to the early 1900s.
The event began on May 6 with a Sunset Party at the Palheiro Golf Clubhouse. The tournament itself took place on May 7.
At the end of the tournament, a cocktail party was held at the Palheiro Gardens, followed by an awards ceremony presided over by Eduardo Jesus, Regional Secretary for Tourism and Culture, Jonathan Fletcher, President of Palheiro Nature Estate, and Edgar Rodrigues, Palheiro Golf Professional.
