Il Basílico presents "Itália com Alma"

Renowned chefs in Italian cuisine will be invited

From September 20 to 26, the gastronomic festival "Italia con Alma" returns to Il Basilico restaurant. The restaurant bets on a week dedicated solely to the Italian flavors. The bet is new dishes with inspiration in the country, that can be tasted by locals and tourists. The ambience promises to be welcoming, and the location of the restaurant, adjacent to the Lido promenade, contributes to this.

The featured guests of this edition are the chefs Giorgio Damásio and Ricardo Bolas.

The first, born in Genoa, early changed academic background for his passion for cooking. He lives in Lisbon and opened his restaurant Giosário - the perfect fusion, along with Rosario, his wife. The style of the food is based on the fusion of Portuguese and Italian cuisine.

Ricardo Bolas graduated in cooking and pastry, and began his career in the area from that moment. That was when he worked at the Lapa hotel that he met Giorgio Damasio. Passed through other restaurants in Lisbon, part of this route some prominent, such as the Mercantina. Nowadays, he is the chief executive in Lisbon of the ZeroZero pizzeria restaurants, which are known for the fine and artisanal pasta and the other dishes because they contain the best ingredients of Italian origin.

Over the course of next week, these two chefs promise to introduce and sample their culinary specialties, such as: crab ravioli with pesto of cress, Risotto de alheira, pear, almonds and muscatel reduction, and pork belly cooked low temperature with quinces texture.

At the end of the event, the dishes chosen by customers will be included in the menu of Il Basilico.

Lunch time will be from 12:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., except Sunday which will be until 4:00 p.m., and for dinner from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.
