Madeira Classical Orchestra to play at the Baltazar Dias Municipal Theatre.
Via Associação de Notas e Sinfonias, the Madeira Classical Orchestra is to play its final concert for the artistic season 2015-16 next Saturday, July 23rd, at 6 p.m. at the Baltazar Dias Municipal Theatre.
Conducting the orchestra throughout the concert will be the guest Maestro Martin André, well known for his vast experience as a maestro for British opera firms as well as other famous orchestras.
Also at the final concert will be pianist Lusine Khachatryan, heralded as a ‘piano poet’.
For this concert, Associação Notas e Sinfonias will have the collaboration of members from the military band of Madeira.
The concert’s programme includes pieces by Glinka, ‘Ruslan and Lyudmila – Overture’; Rachmaninov’s Piano Concerto No. 2, Galuzunov’s ‘Concert Waltz No.2’ and Tchaikovsky’s ‘Overture 1812’.
Tickets for the concert can be bought at the box office of the Baltazar Dias Municipal Theatre for 20 euros. Senior audiences and the group’s associates enjoy discounts, with tickets costing them 15 and 10 euros, respectively. Tickets for children aged 6 to 12 years old sell for 5 euros.
